Inspired by the regal elegance of a seaside Mediterranean castle, the home added two gabled roof lines, barn-style garage doors, granite siding and Russian White Oak flooring throughout.
Expansive kitchen features 5×10-foot island with dramatically veined “Black Fantasy” granite surface and gray-toned cabinetry to provide visual flow with the great room’s soaring two-story fireplace made of Whistler basalt.
Master suite is accessed via double French doors and provides ample views of the forest and Bedwell Bay. Contains a sleeping area, walk-in closets, laundry room, his & her vanity, make-up desk, claw-foot soaker tub, steam shower, and in-floor radiant heat.
Dramatic landscape renovation extended the yard 60-feet towards the ocean and required 65 truck-loads of boulders individually placed on the cliff side to create 4 backyard terraces containing a six-hole putting green, driving cage, veggie garden and hot tub patio. The gently curved stone pathway has more than 100 steps constructed from Valdes sandstone slabs, sourced locally from Hardy Island, each weighing as much as 350 pounds and hand-carried to place.
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing were replaced/updated throughout.
